On the occasion of Christmas and New Year 2018, on December 5, the Department of Foreign Affairs of Bac Giang province visited and presented gifts to foreign NGOs implementing aid activities in Bac Giang including GTV, CIAI, YWAM, KFHI, East Meets West.
The activities and projects during the last 27 years of the FES Institute (Ha Noi) implemented in ministries, branches and localities in key areas of the Institute has contributed to the socio-economic growth, bringing benefits to all classes of Vietnamese people, including the people and enterprises of Bac Giang province.
21 December, on the occasion of Christmas and New Year 2018, in Hanoi, Vice Chairman of Bac Giang People's Committee Le Anh Duong visited and worked with United Nations of Education, Science and Culture Organization (UNESCO). He was accompanied by leader of departments: Foreign Affairs; Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The U.S.-Vietnam Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) is a comprehensive document covering trade in goods, protection of intellectual property rights, trade in services, investment protection, business facilitation and transparency. The 140-page agreement, which took almost five years to negotiate and put into effect, is highly-technical and was written to accord with World Trade Organization (WTO) and other international trade and investment principles. The BTA can basically be summarized as a commitment by both sides to create necessary conditions for the products, businesses and nationals of the other side to have fair access to compete in the other’s markets.
16 November, Chairman of Bac Giang PPC Nguyen Van Linh chaired monthly meeting to evaluate the results of the socio-economic development tasks in 2017; main objectives, tasks and solutions in 2018. August 8, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc signed the Decision approving the target Program on supporting counter-capital for Official Development Assistance (ODA) to local government in the period of 2016-2020.
October 8, Chairman of Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Nguyen Van Linh had a meeting with Poland’s investors headed by Mr. Zygmunt Kosmala, president of Fasing (an enterprise specializing in industrial construction) visiting and studying business environment and opportunities for cooperation in mechanism in Bac Giang. The meeting was also attended by representatives of PPC office, some departments, agencies and enterprises operating in the province.
According to Department of Science and Technology of Bac Giang province, the Association for Luc Ngan litchi cultivation and consumption, Chu town, Luc Ngan district has been granted a title protection certificate for Luc Ngan litchi by the US competent agency. This product title will be protected for 20 years.
