Press conference on the exhibition “The Paracel and the Spratly Islands of Vietnam- Legal and historical evidences”

On the morning of December 15, Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) in coordination with Bac Giang Provincial People’s Committee held a press conference on the exhibition of map and documents themed “The Paracel and the Spratly Islands of Vietnam- Legal and historical evidences”. The press conference were attended by Mr. Nguyen Van Tao, Deputy Director General of Grassroots Information Ắc quy xe máy Department (MIC), Professor and Doctor Nguyen Quang Ngoc, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Association of Historical Sciences (VAHS), representatives of provincial departments, agencies and press agencies, etc.

The view of press conterence

The exhibition takes place from December 16 to December 20 at Provincial hoa phat Convention Center. This is the 45th exhibition organized by MIC, including groups of documents such as version of Sino-Vietnamese documents, Vietnamese documents and French documents dating from the 17th century to the early of 20th century; version of administrative documents of the Republic of Vietnam’s Government in the 1954-1975 period; version of administrative documents issued by the Socialist Republic of Vietnam since 1975; relevant items, publications, maps provided by domestic and foreign researchers, scholars, High Command nhà hàng tiệc cưới of Vietnam People ‘s Navy and Vietnam Marine Police.

This affirms Vietnam’s just stance and sovereignty over the Paracel Islands and Spratly Islands, making a contribution to rejecting  China’s unfounded claims over the two islands as well as marine area, islands belonging to Vietnam’s sovereignty. Simultaneously, raising people’s awareness and responsibility of position, role and importance of the marine area and islands etc.

Today, the exhibition is well-prepared to be launched. From December 16, the exhibition Máy tăng âm truyền thanh is going to be launched from 8 am to 11.30 a.m and from 1.30 p.m to 5 p.m.
