For many years, Bac Giang has been among the top 10 leading localities in the country in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI). Currently, there are 14 countries and territories investing in our province, with nearly 1,500 projects, including nearly 400 FDI projects with a total registered capital of over 80 trillion VND and more than 4 billion USD. 6 industrial parks with a total area of nearly 1,500 hectares, are located in favorable locations. The province has planned to add 9 more industrial - urban - service zones, with a total area of 3,430 hectares in the near future.

Bac Giang has immense advantage to develop agriculture. Agricultural land is over 270,000 hectares, accounting for 70% of the total natural land in the area. The terrain is diverse with mountainous areas, low hills, plains and four-season climate. The soil is enriched by 3 different rivers.

The province’s total forestry land area is over 140 hectares, of which, over 50% is production forests of great economic value ensuring sufficient supplies of raw materials for wood processing factories to invest in the area. Bac Giang is also the fruit capital of Northern Vietnam, with more than 47,000 hectares of fruit trees,  accounting for nearly 30% of the Northern Midlands and Mountains provinces, ranking the third nationwide.

In 2018, Bac Giang's export value reached 7.8 billion USD, up 25% compared to 2017. The main export products are products manufactured and processed from imported raw materials such as textiles, garments, electronics, and farm produce processing. The total import turnover reached 6.7 billion USD, up 11% compared to 2017.

In the field of agriculture, Bac Giang is attracting investments in projects on processing vegetables and fruits, processing food made in concentrated agricultural areas, high-tech applications. In animal husbandry, Bac Giang prioritize on constructing pork and chicken processing factory for exportation… In forestry, priority is given to large intensive timber plantations projects, processing timber with advanced technology…

In the coming time, Bac Giang plans to attract investment in developing tourism in eco-tourism areas, in association with community tourism, entertainment, extreme sports, and eco-houses; open tours and develop 4 and 5 - star hotels in the city; and build a golf course in Suoi Mo area.

In addition to the administrative procedures, which have been fully translated by the Department of Foreign Affairs into English, Chinese and Japanese, helping investors timely access to regulations, Bac Giang commits to create the most favorable conditions for investors in guiding and recommending locations for investment; deploying synchronous investment in technical infrastructure outside the industrial clusters and zones...; investment in social infrastructure such as schools, hospitals ...; human resources...; ensuring security and order inside and outside the industrial parks; and depending on the size and investment field, the province will support a part of the funding for labor training, product promotion...
