After the 18th Congress of the provincial Party Committee, Bac Giang has made great efforts in improving business investment climate in line with renewing mode of investment promotion. Thus, it has gained enormous results in investment attraction particularly foreign direct investment (FDI) driving local economic development in the cause of integration.

As of 2016, the province granted licenses to 39 new projects with registered capital of 618 million USD while giving a nod to increase capital for 18 projects up to 68.6 million USD, 2.9 times higher than that of 2015.

The province also gained impressive results in FDI attraction in 2017 with 59 new projects valued at 748.5 million USD and  they approved capital ajustment for 32 FDI projects up to 112.68 million USD which helped Bac Giang rank 8th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide in terms of the project number and 11th in terms of registered capital.

In the first 7 months of 2018, the province lured 42 FDI projects, increased by 2 projects compared to the same period of 2017 with registered capital of 127.5 million USD while giving a node to increase capital for 32 projects to 314 million USD. To date, Bac Giang is home to 379 valid FDI projects with total registered capital of 4,729 million USD which ranks 11th in terms of the project number and 16th in terms of registered capital compared to 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

The FDI projects are important resources to meet the demand for development investment capital and boost socio-economic development of the province.
