When the export and the traditional way of consumption have been restricted by the Covid-19 pandemic, Bac Giang people have quickly adapted to selling in the digital environment. This sales channel is no longer limited in space and time like previous traditional channels.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the province has had more than 9,000 tons of agricultural produce consumed through e-commerce platforms so far, includingmore than 7,000 tons of lychees, and 2,000 tons of provincial OCOP producesuch as Ban Ven tea, Chu noodles, corn wine, rice wine, herbal mushrooms, and lemon basil syrup, etc. This output is thousand times higherthan the previous year.

Recently, the Department of Industry and Trade has implemented support for 15 provincial enterprises and cooperatives producing typical products and goods of the province to build an online brand identity (including website, email system, Fanpage on Facebook, landing page). Meanwhile, the department also supports a number of enterprises and cooperatives to build shopping malls and put products and goods on sale on e-commerce platforms such as San24h.vn, Sendo.vn, Voso.vn, Alibaba.com, etc. Enterprises and owners of agricultural produce are also aware of the importance of e-commerceto equip knowledge and skills in performing transactions on e-commerce.

It can be seen that, in currentcontext of the pandemic, putting agricultural produce on the online market is a long-term consumption channel that creates a close connection in the farm produce supply chain. Through these platforms, Bac Giang's agricultural produce has gradually reached out to countries around the world.
