Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and US Agency for International Development (USAID) have jointly released the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) report 2017.

Bac Giang province achieved 62.2 points, one of the leading locals in the middle-ranked group. Bac Giang has improved its ranks for four continuous years. Accordingly, thanks to great efforts and consent in implementation of the solutions for improving investment and business environment, Bac Giang continued gaining higher scores and ranked 30^th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide. The PCI index is reported based on surveying firms in the province.

From the 49^th position in 2013 among the bottom localities of the middle-ranked group, Bac Giang has gradually improved its ranks to step to 33^rd in 2016 and 30^th in 2017, increasing by 3 grades compared to the previous year. Among 14 northern mountainous provinces, Bac Giang ranked 4^th following Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen and Phu Tho provinces.
