On the Morning, of July 7th, Standing Vice Chairman of Bac Giang Provincial People’s Committee Lai Thanh Son chaired the working meeting with Kaiokai Corporation (Japan) to explore investment opportunities. The meeting was also attended by representatives of several departments of Bac Giang province and Hiep Hoa district.

At the meeting, both sides frankly exchanged matters of mutual interest. Accordingly, Mr. Ishizuka Goro, Chairman of Kaiokai Corporations appreciated warm and candid reception of Bac Giang government. At the same time, through the survey about the province’s potentials and strengths, Kaiokai would like to cooperate with Bac Giang province to invest in some strong fields such as: making urban planning; industrial infrastructure; tourism services; building logistics warehouse; providing technology experts; education and training and environmental treatment, etc.

In particular, thanks to the strength of technology, the Corporation can cooperate and transfer to Bac Giang province its post-harvest preservation technology of agricultural products, especially lychee. With this preservation technology, lychee’s quality and freshness can be maintained for up to 6 months.

Besides, the Kaiokai Corporation also has strength in treatment technology of industrial waste, domestic waste and agricultural residues. Accordingly, by using advanced technologies, wastes and residues can be treated and become raw materials to produce power, organic fertilizer which is friendly to environment.

On behalf of Bac Giang provincial government, the PPC Standing Vice Chairman Lai Thanh Son expressed his pleasure at the interest of investors. He also agreed on and supported the investment areas of the Kaiokai Corporation in Bac Giang. He affirmed that with the advantages of natural resources, human resources and favorable geographical location and preferential policies for investors, Bac Giang Province will be a potential investment destination for investors in general and Kaiokai Corporation in particular.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee said that the current strategic development orientation of Bac Giang province is to give priority to developing three investment sectors including industry, agriculture and services. While industrial development is the short-term goal, high-tech agricultural production and development of tourism services will be a primary driving force for economy. He believed that the potential and strengths of the two sides would open up opportunities for comprehensive cooperation in the areas of mutual interests.

The PPC Standing Vice Chairman affirmed that Bac Giang government at all levels will always accompany and support investors generally and Kaiokai Corporation particularly. On the same day, Kaiokai Corporation visited and sought investment opportunities in Hiep Hoa district, a major economic center in the west of Bac Giang province./.
