RoK’s volunteers carry out numerous activities in Lang Giang district
A group of volunteers of the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) with 38 members granted fund and organized a voluntary program at two kindergartens of Huong Son commune, Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province from 9 to 11 July.
A group of volunteers of the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) with 38 members granted fund and organized a voluntary program at two kindergartens of Huong Son commune, Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province from 9 to 11 July.

This program was jointly held by the provincial Department of Foreign Affairs (DOFA) and Volunteer for Peace (VFP), an international non-governmental organization aiming to promote voluntary activities for peace, friendship and development.
The volunteers carried out a number of activities including funding for construction of a standard restroom at Tien Son kindergarten and one standard kitchen at Dong Thuy kindergarten while revamping some other items at these two kindergartens.

Besides, they helped to install the lighting system, presented water filters and organized a cultural exchange program with the kindergarten students, totally worth 440 million VND (20,000 USD).
This program contributed to connecting people, strengthening mutual understanding and nurturing the friendship between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.

The DOFA was assigned to support Huong Son commune in building a new-style rural area. Based on their functions and duties, the department attached non-governmental aid mobilization to support in the construction of new-style rural areas. In addition, they aimed at fostering people-to-people affairs through cultural exchanges and voluntary activities.
