The Room To Read had working visit to widen the project area in Bac Giang province
In the afternoon of 18th August 2014, at the invitation of Bac Giang Foreign Affairs Department, Mr. Le Tien Phong - Country Director of the Room to Read in Vietnam paid a working visit to Foreign Affairs Department, in order to learn more about the possibilities of project expansion in Bac Giang province. Attending the working session with the Room To Read, there were Mr. Do Quoc Tuan-Director of Foreign Affairs Department, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Thu-Deputy Director of Education and Training Department, Mr. Duong Van Luan-Standing Vice Chairman of Bac Giang Union of Friendship Organizations, functional divisions’ representatives from Departments of Foreign Affairs, Education & Training.

At the meeting, Mr. Do Quoc Tuan introduced the brief information regarding the natural conditions, socio-economic development đau đầu achievements and difficulties of Bac Giang province as well. At the same time, he also expressed the desire and guidelines of Bac Giang province in attaching importance to fund mobilization from organizations and individuals with a view to contributing to solve the difficult issues of socio-economic development in the disadvantaged communes of the province. Representative from Education and sap vuot toc xmen Training Department also exchanged some main features of the provincial education and training and shared its difficulties in the education and training of with the Room To Read.
The Room to Read highly appreciated the participation and speeches of the attendants, and discussed the project activities of the organization: So far, the Room To Read has been deploying 395 projects in such provinces as: Tien Giang, Can Tho, Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, Tinh dầu dừa Binh Dinh, Tuyen Quang and Thai Nguyen. In addition, Room To Read also provided the criteria for project selection, local partners involved, and kindly requested Bac Giang side to support procedures for project expansion in Bac Giang province.
Ending the meeting, on behalf of nhà hàng tiệc cưới the meeting participants, Mr. Do Quoc Tuan highly appreciated the cooperative goodwill of the Room To Read, and committed to assist the organization in terms of procedures in order to get license for project expansion in Bac Giang soon. The Room To Read also wishes to start projects in Bac Giang province in early 2015 with expectation of deploying 20 pilot projects in 20 primary schools of Ắc quy đồng nai 04 districts with medium socio-economic conditions, pledges to fully abide by the provisions concerning NGOs grants and collaborate closely with the local authorities in order to ensure the highest efficiency of projects implemented./.
